VIRAL VIDEO: Dog saves baby from crawling into ocean

(KGO) -- A dog is man's best friend. But in Turkey, one hero dog is now the best friend for life of one young mother.

The dog put itself between a baby and the crashing surf of Kabak Bay.

The baby was on the beach, but began crawling pretty quickly toward the water; that's when the family dog raced ahead to put itself between the baby and the waves.

Moments later, the baby's mother runs in and scooped up the child.
