Transit Resources in case of BART strike

Bart Strike status



BART and its unions are contining contract negotiations but if a deal is not reached, BART workers could go on strike. There are 400,000 daily BART passengers who would be affected by a potential strike.

Casual Carpool
Casual carpools are informal carpools that form when drivers and passengers meet at designated locations. People can park at BART stations (it will be free) and use the stations as a casual carpool pickup spot.

San Francisco Bay Ferry
San Francisco Bay Ferry is preparing its staff and crew for a potential August 5 BART strike. Expanded service will be available to and from SF Bay Ferry's Oakland, Alameda Main Street, Harbor Bay, Vallejo and San Francisco terminals. Weekday service to South San Francisco will continue as normal.

Alameda Ferry Shuttles
In the event of a BART strike the City of Alameda will accommodate patrons who use the Alameda Harbor Bay Ferry to park in the otherwise restricted areas along Harbor Bay Parkway. Parking is still prohibited on Bay Edge Road and Adelphian Way.

BART
BART's labor contracts with five unions expired on June 30. BART management and union officials have agreed to continue the collective bargaining process for the next 30 days -- and will be resuming service. Customers can sign up for email and text alerts about the outcome of labor negotiations.
