31st Annual San Francisco Fleet Week

22 of 25: Military Gets Dirty at the San Francisco Zoo: On Friday, October 5, a team of approximately 50 Marines and Sailors from the 13th Expeditionary Unit participated in a habitat restoration and clean-up project at the SF Zoo. Based out of Camp Pendleton, California, these service men and women visited the San Francisco Zoo as part of San Francisco Fleet Week 2012 community service program. Having requested the toughest assignment the Zoo has to offer, the teams set out to clean up the Lower Lake, removing weeds and invasive plants.
