PALO ALTO, CA (KGO) -- The Stanford Cardinal still have hopes of tying for the Pac 10 title. This week, Stanford visits USC, the scene of perhaps the biggest upset in college football history a couple of years ago. ABC7's Mike Shumann looks back and ahead to Saturday's matchup in L.A.

"I think that was a turning point and people respecting Stanford football and kind of the change in culture here within the university itself," says running back Toby Gerhart.
If that game put Stanford back on the map, last week's win over Oregon turned the corner for Jim Harbaugh's program.
"We're in a put up or shut up mode if we're going to stay in the Pac 10 Conference Championship race," says Harbaugh. "The football team has got to learn to win on the road too."
Freshman quarterback Andrew Luck doesn't seem fazed at all facing the Trojans for the first time in front of 90,000 fans.
"It doesn't matter where you play, and I guess trying to view it like that, or else you're going to get caught up in the moment and do something stupid," says Luck.
Gerhart set a single game rushing record last week against Oregon with 223 yards and with the victory, Stanford is bowl eligible, but Gerhart wants more.
"Going into this year Coach Harbaugh said over and over this is the year for Stanford football in the Pac 10. It's right there for us for the taking. You know if we win these next two and we're in a seat to potentially play in the Rosebowl," says Gerhart.
The run for the roses continues Saturday against USC.
