If you cannot afford to pay your taxes, Uncle Sam actually wants to give you a break. There is news of some possible relief from the Internal Revenue Service.
The IRS may not be everybody's best friend.
However, on Wednesday the agency said it will go easy on Americans who cannot afford to pay taxes because of the recession.
The IRS says it will be more flexible in negotiating tax settlements with struggling consumers.
The agency also will open 1,000 tax offices on various Saturdays where consumers can get help in resolving their tax debts.
