If you or members of your family have travel plans to Japan, they may need to be changed. Here are some things you need to know about how to re-schedule your trip.
Many of those planning to travel to Japan will find themselves cut off from airports and transportation. Most will be allowed to rebook at a later time, but there could be a catch.
Travel attorney Al Anolik says those caught now will, in all likelihood, be taken care of. But those planning to travel in the coming weeks may not be given a break.
An airline that has been ordered, 'you cannot fly here' had better not try to put on a fee but that's right now, two weeks from now they may see a fee crop up," he said.
Many of Japan's best known travel companies are owned by huge corporations that tend to make refunds a regular part of business.
