Report released on cost of having a kid

Citibank and BabyCenter.com today released its report on the cost of raising a child.

It's estimate is $227,000 to raise a child born last year to the age of 18.

That figure does not include the cost of college.

The report found that the recession has put a greater stress on parents than ever before.

Two out of three moms surveyed say cost is a factor in determining how many children they will have.
