If you're planning a summer getaway, you should expect to pay more for air fares this year.
A survey by airfarewatchdog.com says plane tickets are 10 percent higher than last summer. Flying to the most popular destinations may cost twice as much as last year.
The best advice is to book early and be flexible with your dates and if you see a good deal, don't hesitate to snap it up.
