There's a happy ending for a Montana man whose dog ate $500 in cash.
According to the Helena Independent Record, the saga began at Christmas, when Sundance, an elderly golden retriever, ate five one hundred dollar bills during a road trip.
His owner waited patiently over the next few days for the fragments to gradually come out the other end. He washed them, painstakingly pieced them back together, and sent them to the Treasury Department, hoping to be reimbursed.
This week, Wayne Klinkel got a check back from the government for the full amount.
