SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- ABC7's arts and entertainment reporter Don Sanchez ranks his top 10 movies of the year.

#4 "The Help" - Dreamworks Pictures
#3 "Hugo" - Paramount Pictures
#2 "Midnight In Paris" - Sony Pictures Classics
#1 "The Artist" - The Weinstein Company

This list could be preview of the awards season. I'm a member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association so I'm voting for the Critic's Choice Award and that's the first one. You can see that Jan. 12 on VH1. Look for me in the audience. Then come the Golden Globes and Oscars.

Since I had to pick my top 10, there are a few other movies that are worth mentioning. I enjoyed "50/50," "Moneyball," and "War Horse." As for actors and actresses go, I like Glenn Close for "Albert Nobbs" and Michelle Williams in "My Week With Marilyn." The Oscar nominees will be announced Jan.24th.
