BANGKOK -- Thai authorities say they have arrested a bar owner in connection with a lewd sex show mentioned in racy tweets by pop star Rihanna during her recent trip to Thailand.
Officials on the island of Phuket said Monday the bar owner faces charges of obscenity and operating an entertainment venue without a permit.
Local district chief Weera Kerdsirimongkon said the man was arrested Saturday as part of a crackdown on shows featuring naked dancers since Rihanna visited the island last month and posted a string of tweets about what she saw there.
One of the singer's Instagram photos showed her posing with a protected primate, the slow loris, which also led to the arrest of two men.
