In Santa Clara County, there will be seven centers set up, but the largest will be held at the Fairgrounds. 4,400 doses of the vaccine will be made available to those who are considered high risk cases. On Friday night, the Fairgrounds are locked up and extra security is patrolling the grounds, just in case people try lining up over night. The Public Health Department expects thousands to attend.

Regardless, they are concerned that people who don't fall into the high risk categories will try to get vaccinated. Officials hope they can convince them to wait until more vaccine comes to the county in the coming months. Santa Clara County Supervisor, Dave Cortese is also worried that undocumented immigrants will go without the vaccine -- even those who are at high risk. His office has reached out to the immigrant community and found a fear exists within several immigrant groups about being deported if they try to get vaccinated.
Health officials say no identification or social security information is necessary to get a vaccination. They also insist deportation agents will not be on site and that anyone who needs a vaccine should get one.
