A new study may have you going to bed earlier tonight. Researchers at a British University have found your genes are actually altered when you don't get enough sleep. They tested the blood of 26 people after they got 10 hours of sleep a night for a week and again after a week of less than 6 hours a night.
They found the body's chemistry changed dramatically, affecting the immune system and heart. Researchers also say these findings could lead to a drug to counter the negative effects of sleep deprivation.
