Mistrial in Susan Polk Murder Trial

Oct. 17 (BCN) -- Contra Costa County Superior Court Judge Laurel Brady Monday morning declared a mistrial in the trial of Susan Polk, the woman accused of killing her therapist husband in their Orinda home in 2002.

The mistrial was declared because Polk's lead counsel's wife was killed in their Lafayette home over the weekend.

Polk will appear in court next on Dec. 2. Polk waved her right to a speedy trial and agreed to the delay.
