Jan. 31 - BCN -- A woman who was critically injured in an attack that killed her husband early this morning in the couple's El Cerrito home has died, according to El Cerrito police.
Julie Rogers succumbed to her wounds sometime this afternoon, police Sgt. Wayne Mann said this evening.
Her husband, Paul Rogers, died at the home on Rifle Range Road where the couple was allegedly attacked by Julie Rogers' brother, 37-year-old Edward Wycoff of Citrus Heights, according to police.
Police received a disturbance call at 4:24 a.m. from one of the couple's two teenage children. When police arrived at the home, they found the husband and wife suffering from stab wounds.
Julie Rogers was taken by helicopter to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. Her husband was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police Cmdr. Gary Priebe.
Wycoff, who allegedly fled the scene after the incident, was arrested by Roseville police later this morning after he arrived at a Roseville hospital with injuries he claimed to have sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Paul and Julie Rogers were both attorneys, Priebe said.
Police have not yet released information regarding a possible motive for the killings.
