Aug. 30 - KGO (KGO) -- The case of the five month old missing baby in San Francisco has come to a tragic end. The baby's body has been found in McLaren Park and her father is in custody.
Camille Ferguson's remains were found in a remote area of John McLaren Park sometime this morning, a San Francisco police operations officer reported.
The 317-acre park is located in the southeastern corner of the city just north of the Cow Palace. Mansell Street runs through the park.
The suspect in Camille's killing is her father, Sgt. Neville Gittens reported. He is being held on an unrelated parole violation and likely will be charged with homicide later today, Gittens said.
Camille's father told police he left the baby in his car when he went into a store at 18th and Mission streets around 7:40 p.m. Sunday, and that when he returned, she was gone.
