Jan. 2 - KGO (KGO) -- Sara Jane Moore has been denied parole every two years since she was first eligible in 1985. She says she'll go before the Parole Board again in March of of 2007. Moore believes she ought to be granted her freedom, that she would be a "good citizen."
"I'm a first time offender. It was a single shot. Im not a repeat offender or anything like that. In prison I work. I have a job. I do it well. I've met all the criteria for being paroled. I think it's the notoriety or the continuing whatever (that has denied me parole)."
Moore tells ABC7, her hobby is needlework and that she donates much of her work to auctions for "good causes," another way she keeps active in today's politics.
She declined to comment on questions related to her family, saying she does not discuss her personal matters. She reportedly has four children and five former husbands.
Moore says she did not see President Ford's funeral on television today. She wanted to but the other inmates preferred to see movies on the common television set.
