Feb. 8 - BCN -- Two people are dead this morning and two others injured after the driver of a stolen vehicle collided with a tree in Saratoga while attempting to flee from police.
Officer Steve Perea of the California Highway Patrol reports that at around 2:30 a.m. a reported stolen Saturn sedan carrying four men collided with a tree after losing control on the Saratoga Avenue off-ramp from northbound Interstate Highway 280.
Two passengers in the vehicle were killed and a third was transported to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center suffering major trauma to his head, Perea said. The driver was also transported to Valley Medical Center with minor injuries.
