S.F. Supes Approve Barrier For Dangerous Octavia Ramp

SAN FRANCISCO, Jul. 11, 2007 (KGO) (KGO) -- Changes are coming to a dangerous intersection at Market Street and Octavia Boulevard in San Francisco.

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors has approved a new, raised median barrier. The barrier is intended to prevent cars from making an illegal right turn from market onto the central freeway at Octavia.

Vehicles making the turn illegally cross a bike path. Several bicyclists have been injured. There was a fatal crash involving a motorcycle there two weeks ago.
