SAN FRANCISCO Nov. 27, 2007 (KGO) (KGO) -- An hours long police standoff at a luxury high rise apartment building in San Francisco overnight has ended peacefully.
Investigators say it began just before 11:00 last night at the Towers Building at Second and King Streets. Officers tell us a man with a gun was threatening suicide and threatening the lives of anybody who'd come by.
Authorities are not releasing the identity of the man. They say while the suspect has no criminal record he was having problems with an ex-girlfriend. No one was injured and officers eventually took the man into custody before 4:00 am without incident.
