Sunday, February 24, 2008

Mireya is back with her family and safe.

A 10-year-old girl who was reported missing Saturday from the Tenderloin neighborhood turned up in a residence today, according to San Francisco police spokesman Steve Mannina.

Mireya Zapata disappeared from the 400 block of Turk Street around 10:30 a.m., Mannina said.

At about 8:15 on Sunday, Mireya walked into a residence and claimed she had been staying with a friend in Daly City, said Mannina, who added the girl was safe and sound back with her family.
