A countywide gun buyback event is being held at three East Bay locations on Saturday.
Several local police departments along with the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office are taking part.
Officers will exchange working firearms in exchange for gift cards, no questions asked.
Residents can receive up to $200 for an assault weapon, up to $100 for handguns, and up to $50 for shotguns or rifles.
Officials say the firearms must be unloaded with the safety on.
The gun buyback will be held at three locations: Richmond City Hall, the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds in Antioch, and the parking lot of the Concord Pavilion from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
