At 11:00 a.m., they marched to the Berkeley Unified School District chanting "no justice, no peace." Students referred to a specific incident where a Berkeley student posted a picture of an African-American teacher on Facebook and wrote some derogatory words including the "n" word.

Students also say they have been called names by some white students. Students claim pictures have been posted around campus defaming some African-American students and teachers.

A district spokesperson said the school and the district are investigating these claims. The students are demanding mandatory anti-racism training at Berkeley high. They are asking that the district require all students to take African-American studies.
