Police took the four suspects into custody on felony vandalism charges. Officers say the suspects were caught spray painting graffiti on the side of a warehouse on Washington Street. A business owner in the building had called to report what he thought was a burglary. Officers arrived and found three men and a juvenile on the rooftop, along with cans of spray paint and newly created graffiti.

"It was an elaborate amount of graffiti. One of my officers who has been on the rooftop says anywhere from 50 yards of damage with spray paint cans and that nature," said San Leandro Police Lt. Christopher Tankson.

Firefighters used ladders to help officers get to the suspects on the warehouse roof and document the damage done.
