ANTIOCH, Calif. -- A three-alarm fire that broke out at an apartment complex in Antioch early this morning caused an estimated $300,000 in damage, according to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.
The fire was reported at 3:52 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 2800 block of Gentrytown Drive, according to the district.
When firefighters arrived, they found four units on fire at one building in the complex and flames were spreading to two adjacent buildings.
Broken gas lines at the complex made it difficult to battle the blaze, but firefighters eventually had it under control at 4:44 a.m., according to the district.
Two people suffered minor injuries in the fire.
The cause of the fire was still under investigation this afternoon.
Information about how many people were displaced by the blaze was not available, but fire officials said the American Red Cross was assisting them.
