Thousands of cat lovers will be in the East Bay this weekend for the first ever Oakland Internet Cat Video Festival.

The star of the event will be none other than Dusty, the klepto kitty.

This real life cat burglar became nationally known in 2011 for stealing objects in his San Mateo neighborhood. Dusty collected over 600 items in three years, going out at night and coming back with stuff.

Dusty's owner, Jean Chu, says he's still at it, "He's still trying to bring things back," she said. "He goes out at night. Most of the things he brings back now are rubber bands. He can't find the good stuff anymore."

If you'd like to see dusty and those cat videos the event is Saturday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Walker Art Center on Grand Avenue in Oakland. It's a benefit for the East Bay SPCA.
