Crews hope to fully contain Mount Diablo fire on Friday

Officials say the wildfire that charred an area in and around Mount Diablo State Park has cost $4.5 million to fight.

Some firefighters are still cleaning up and patrolling the fire perimeter and hope to have it fully contained by the end of the day on Friday.

Authorities now believe it was started by target shooting on Sunday afternoon.

The fire burned an estimated 3,133 acres, but fortunately no structures were destroyed.
