This time it was an innocent 6-year-old -girl who was traveling in a car that got slammed by a hit-and-run driver.

Menlo Park police released pictures of a person of interest in the case, 24-year-old Shannon Fox of East Palo Alto.

Police say surveillance video shows two cars running a red light before one hits the car the girl was in at Willow Road and Bay Shore Expressway. The two drivers then left together.

The girl's mother is in stable condition.
