PALO ALTO, Callif. (KGO) -- Police are investigating a rash of smash-and-grab robberies in Palo Alto.
At least 17 cars have been broken into over just two days. They've all been in parking lots, most of them city lots and all happened in the early evening.
Police say it does not appear that the suspect targeted any particular cars, but authorities do believe the incidents are connected.
