Police warn residents after rash of car burglaries

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office is advising residents to be cognizant of their cars after a rash of burglaries in the San Mateo Highlands.

The warning comes after a number of cars were burglarized in the 1300 block of Bel Aire Road and the 1400 block of Enchanted Way, sheriff's officials said.

Residents are asked to take precautions with their cars, including removing all valuable items and locking the doors.

Anyone who spots suspicious people or activity is asked to call the sheriff's office at (650) 363-4911.
