Students at Thurgood Marshall High are collecting donations of food, clothing, and money to send to devastated villages. Most of these students have relatives in Samoa, as do some of their faculty advisors.

"[There's] about 40 of us in here. 40 people... we all know someone who can do something for us. Now is the time to use those resources," said student adviser Century Fa'ataui to the students.

The students are asking anyone who wants to contribute to their effort to drop supplies off at Thurgood Marshall High in San Francisco's Bayview District.
