SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Firefighters from all over California and across the nation will start saying goodbye on Thursday to two of their own, who perished while battling a house fire in San Francisco.
A vigil will take place Thursday evening for Lt. Vincent Perez and firefighter-paramedic Anthony Valerio -- both from Fire Station 26 in Diamond Heights.
It will begin Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at Saint Mary's Cathedral. The funeral is on Friday at 12:30 p.m. and you can watch a live stream of the service here online.
The funeral procession will head from St. Mary's Cathedral to Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma. Part of I-280 will be closed during that time.

**The entire I-280 southbound direction will be closed from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. from the Highway 101 split in San Francisco to the Serramonte exit. All transition roads and on-ramps at these locations will be closed. The CHP wants to advise motorists to take alternate routes and expect traffic delays in the area around this time.
The following MUNI lines are expected to be impacted by the funeral service and procession: F-Market, J-Church, 5-Fulton, 6-Parnassus, 21-Hayes, 22-Fillmore, 24-Divisadero, 31-Balboa, 33-Stanyan, 48-Quintara, 38/38L-Geary and 71/71L-Haight-Noriega.
