Protesters rally against pot dispensary crackdown

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KGO) -- Medical marijuana supporters in San Francisco held a rally near city hall Tuesday to protest the Obama administration's crackdown on medical marijuana dispensaries.

City supervisors and local members of the state legislature planned to hold a news conference after the rally showing their support for medical cannabis patients. This comes one day after federal agents raided multiple Oakland properties belonging to one of the Bay Area's largest medical marijuana entrepreneurs.

Dozens of prescription pot advocates squared off against police at Oaksterdam University where drug enforcement and IRS agents seized property and records. Agents also raided a nearby coffee shop run by Oaksterdam University founder Richard Lee.

Authorities say no arrest warrants linked to the raids have been issued.
