Jewelry confiscated from San Francisco scam

Here's a follow up on the fraud scheme ABC7 News first brought you in March.

On Thursday, we got our first look at the money and items stolen from more than 25 victims, mostly elderly Chinese women. Police say they recovered more than $850,000 in cash, jewelry and other items from six suspects who also worked in Boston and New York. Police say the six women preyed upon their victims' religious beliefs and superstitions. Authorities say there are still more victims they want to talk to.

"We believe these arrests have tremendously impacted this organized crime ring and are hopeful that more victims will come forward," said San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr.

The suspects were arrested at San Francisco International Airport earlier this month. They are being charged with multiple counts of theft, fraud and elder abuse.
