SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Efforts to do an end run around California's foie gras ban are no wild goose chase.
A San Francisco restaurant on federal land says it's exempt from the ban.
The Presidio Social Club is planning to begin serving foie gras again on July 14th to celebrate Bastille Day. Management says federal law trumps state law and there's no federal ban on goose liver.
It begs the question of whether foie gras could be served at restaurants at Yosemite National Park for example or any number of Indian casinos.
