SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The San Francisco District Attorney's Office Tuesday announced the winners of a contest in which teens created videos to spread awareness about bullying. ABC7's Cheryl Jennings was one of the judges.
The contest was created to bring awareness to the problem and help children come up with effective responses to bullying. A total of 58 videos were received from San Francisco students in middle school and high school.
The first place video was created by students at St. Ignatius High School who say they were glad to have the opportunity to address the problem.
"We just, we thank you guys for that, because we've through a lot over the years, we've had suicides in the past; we're happy that we got to spread the word," Shant Kilijian said.
The first place winners each received a plaque, iPad Minis and a baseball signed by Giants pitcher Barry Zito.
