Toll workers show support for 49ers

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Drivers on the Golden Gate Bridge might have noticed some folks coming down with a case of 49er fever!

The bridge's toll collectors will wear 49er caps and other team clothing through Saturday. The team provided the caps and shirts to the bridge district.

The bridge and the team both got their names from similar lore -- gold was found in 1849, hence 49ers, and many of them sailed to California through the Golden Gate on their way to find pay dirt!
