SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- In San Francisco, people were out in numbers Friday evening to make a point about sexual violence against women. The rally was scheduled even before an attack last weekend.
About 150 people marched from through the Mission District calling for an end to crimes like the one that occurred early Sunday morning. A woman walking home along 23rd Street was attacked, but the suspect fled when a neighbor heard the woman's screams and shined a light onto the street.
The protesters say that type of action is exactly what needs to happen to stop violence on their streets.
