(San Francisco Zoo)
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- There's a brand new addition at the San Francisco Zoo -- a baby gorilla.
The 5-pound, 1-ounce female was born Wednesday to western lowland gorillas Nneka and Oscar Jonesy.
Zookeepers say the baby is in good health, and is slowly being introduced to the gorilla troop.
If all goes well, the baby, who has yet to be named, could be on view to zoo visitors in just a few days.
