Police issue warning over consuming food from unlicensed vendors

Tuesday, October 15, 2013
Police are warning people to be careful when buying food from unlicensed vendors in SF after two women tested positive for Rohypnol.

Police are warning people who visit San Francisco's Dolores Park to be extra careful when buying food and drinks from unlicensed vendors.

That's after two women tested positive for Rohypnol, or roofies, after visiting the Mission District park.

Roofies are a powerful sedative, often referred to as the "date rape drug."

Neither woman was sexually assaulted.

Police are investigating if the water they bought from a street vendor may have been spiked with the drug.
