Traffic alert issued after fatal crash on Interstate 680 in Sunol

SUNOL, Callif. (KGO) -- A traffic alert has been issued by the CHP due to a fatal crash on Interstate 680 in Sunol.

Officers will have the far right lane in the northbound direction closed for a few hours to conduct an investigation.

That's where they found some skid marks leading to a vehicle 50-feet off the road.

At least one person has died at the scene.
