SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- A former San Jose catholic school teacher accused of sexual misconduct is suing a group of parents and young girls after he was cleared by police of the charges against him.
The San Jose Mercury News reports that John Fischler was fired from Holy Spirit Catholic School. The former physical education teacher says that in 2009 and 2010, two girls made false sexual abuse claims and ruined his reputation.
Some experts worry the case will have a negative effect on reporting sexual abuse at schools.
