Study: Female grads earn thousands less than men out of college

There's still a gender gap between the salaries earned by new male and female college graduates.

According to a study released today by the American Association of University Women, women one year out of school are making 18 percent less than what men in similar fields are making.

That's virtually unchanged from 10 years ago and it applies to jobs across the board.

Among business major for example, women are earning an average $38,000 a year. Men are making $45,000.

The American Association of University Women says what it calls "unconscious biases" are partially responsible for the discrepancy.
