Children who stay up late score lower on tests

Tuesday, July 09, 2013

British researchers studied more than 11,000 children under the age of seven and found that kids who went to bed after 9 p.m. scored lower on reading and math tests.

The researchers think the lack of sleep may impair how well the brain absorbs information.

The study is published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health.
