Loophole allows United customers to reserve $50 flights

A loophole in the system recently allowed some United Airlines customers to reserve overseas flights for around $50 -- but they won't get to keep them.

Tech website "Mashable" reports customers were able to set up a mileage plus account then use frequent flier miles they didn't have.

United said it will not honor the tickets because the buyers manipulated the system.

Last month, United accidentally sold tickets for nearly nothing, but the company honored those tickets because they were caused by human error.
