SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader campaigned in San Francisco Tuesday, saying the bailout package "must be defeated."
"Enough rip off the taxpayers' dollar, enough depletion of worker pensions, enough marauding and ravaging of other people's money held in trusts by these Wall Street crooks and speculators, who tanked their own companies because of their own greed," Nader said.
Nader was joined by his running mate, former San Francisco Supervisor Matt Gonzalez and anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan, who's running against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi this fall.
Tuesday, Nader called Speaker Pelosi's support of the bailout a "betrayal of democratic party principals."
