San Francisco's red ink from hosting the America's Cup has now nearly doubled.

New figures from the city show San Francisco lost $11.5 million.

Numbers released back in December showed the event had cost taxpayers at least $5.5 million, but that didn't include expenses for the Port of San Francisco.

The report also found the America's Cup provided jobs for 517 city residents out of a total of 2,800 jobs.
