Favre bothered by title game loss, not bounties
Brett Favre isn't upset that he was a bounty target for the New Orleans Saints during the 2010 NFC Championship Game. The retired quarterback is just upset he couldn't lead the Minnesota Vikings to a win.

"My feeling, and I mean this wholeheartedly, is that I really don't care," Favre, a Mississippi native who grew up a Saints fan, said in an interview with NFL Network. "What bothers me is we didn't win the game. And they didn't take me out of the game. They came close, but a lot of people have come close. "I'm too stubborn to come out. Plus, that was kind of a big game. I'm not going to sit the last three minutes. I'm going to go out there with bones sticking out of the skin, I'm going to finish it." On Monday, the NFL released a horde of evidence gathered during its investigation of the Saints. The evidence included a sheet of paper the league alleges showed a $35,000 prize, with $5,000 donated by Saints interim coach Joe Vitt, specifically, for Favre out of the 2010 NFC Championship Game. NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith has asked NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to reopen the investigation of the Saints' bounty program. Former Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams was suspended indefinitely by Goodell, while Saints coach Sean Payton is gone until after the Super Bowl. Vitt will begin a six-game suspension when the regular season starts. Saints general manager Mickey Loomis is suspended for eight games once the season begins. Jonathan Vilma (season), current Packers DE Anthony Hargrove (eight games), Saints DE Will Smith (four games) and current Browns linebacker Scott Fujita (three games) were also suspended, but have appealed.
