Help March of Dimes prevent birth defects by joining "March for Babies." Choose from three convenient Bay Area locations.
Right now, premature birth touches half a million babies and their families every year. Babies born too soon are more likely to die or have lifelong disabilities. 120,000 babies are born with serious birth defects every year. Every baby deserves someone in their corner. The March of Dimes is here for all babies those born healthy and those that need help to survive and thrive. Several walk locations are available in the Bay Area. Walk sites are available in San Francisco, East Bay, and Silicon Valley on April 28th. Look for ABC7's own Mike Nicco and Karina Rusk at the Marches. See below for specific locations. Program begins at 9:00 a.m. The March of Dimes is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Founded in 1938, the March of Dimes funds programs of research, community services, education, and advocacy to save babies and in 2003 launched a campaign to address the increasing rate of premature birth.Saturday, April 28th
