Perseid shower stargazers hoping for better weather

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Sky-watchers are hoping for better weather Monday to get a glimpse of the Perseid meteor shower.

Chabot Space and Science Center in Oakland was one of the Bay Area spots offering a view Sunday night. Folks were all set to see shooting stars when the fog rolled in.

Astronomers say this should be a great year with as many as 100 meteors an hour lighting up the night sky.
